The Gift of a Lifetime
Give them a book about their life
A memoir is the gift that says: your life was extraordinary, and we never want to forget it. Perhaps it's to celebrate a milestone 70th, 80th, or 90th birthday. Or a retirement gift, an anniversary, or simply because you know their stories matter and deserve to be told.
You know these stories are irreplaceable
You've heard Dad tell the one about the summer of '62. Mom has that way of describing the house she grew up in that makes you feel like you've been there. Grandpa starts every Christmas with the same story, and you never want him to stop.
These stories live in one place: in them. A memoir captures everything. The voice, the details, the feeling. It puts it all somewhere permanent.
A memoir doesn't just record what happened. It preserves who someone was. Their voice, their humor, the way they saw the world. That's the legacy that matters.
Milestone Moments
The birthday gift they'll never stop talking about
A special birthday for a loved person deserves a unique gift. A memoir is the one they'll keep on the shelf, read aloud at family gatherings, and pass down to grandchildren who haven't been born yet.
It's not just a book. It's proof that their life mattered, told in their own words, beautifully bound and built to last for generations.

The Finished Book
A beautiful hardcover memoir, delivered to your door. Ready to present for the big day.
Testimonial
We bought this for Mom's 80th birthday. She talks about her book more than any gift she's ever received. The whole family has read it cover to cover.

Questions gift givers ask us
Should I tell them, or keep it a surprise?
Both work. Some families present the idea at a birthday dinner; others tell Mom or Dad after the first session is already booked. We're experienced at either approach and can help you decide what feels right.
What if they're not tech-savvy?
No technology needed. Our sessions happen by phone or in person. No video calls, no apps, no passwords. We meet them where they're comfortable.
Can other family members contribute stories or photos?
Absolutely. Many families contribute their own memories, old photographs, and favourite stories. It often makes the memoir richer, and the process more meaningful for everyone.
How far in advance should we start?
Most memoir projects take four to eight months. If you have a specific birthday or occasion in mind, we recommend getting in touch at least six months ahead. That said, we can sometimes work to tighter timelines. Just ask.
